Bylined
One of the purposes of journalism is to inform about basic facts. But it is even more important to write about the meaning of those facts. In a way, the same goes for science, not only for "old media" publications. I'm not a journalist, but a scientist, and well, I started to write a regular column called From the Engine Room every two weeks for Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, a German newspaper. The offer to start writing it caught me totally by surprise, but I toyed with the idea only for almost a day before I was going to give it a try. Because just only remembering the deadline pressure and assuming a technical perspective, I can write about anything that passes through my head. Happy bi-weekly reading. By the way, I love print again! :}
